GTA Online: JP System Explained - What Job Points Get You

You earn different types of points and rewards for successful jobs. While most are self-explanatory, Job Points (JP) require some background knowledge. Read what the purpose is.

Very special job: Job Points are only important for votes.

The online variant of GTA V is a real perennial hit. New players still flock to the servers every day, and that's why an explanation regarding Job Points is necessary.

GTA Online: These are Job Points (JP)

You receive Job Points when you successfully complete jobs, but also races and battles.
  • For jobs you receive a flat rate of 15 JP, for other missions the amount depends on your placement.
  • Job Points are always collected only for the current session. Change the session or quit the game, then start again at 0 JP.
  • Job Points serve only one purpose: They serve as a "tiebreaker" if there is a tie in a vote.
  • In this situation, Job Points come into play and the side with the most JP wins the vote.
In many cases, your Job Points will thus play no role - it is still handy to know what sense is actually in them.
