If you want to use your iPod Touch not only to listen to music but also to make phone calls, it is possible thanks to the iPhone mobile calls feature. In order to make or receive calls with your iPod, it is necessary that your iPhone and iPod are on the same network and the "Mobile Calls" feature has been set up before.
  1. To set it up, please navigate to "Settings" > "Phone" > "Calls on other devices" on iPhone and enable the "Allow calls on other devices" option.
  2. After that, open the "Settings" on your iPod Touch as well and tap "Calls from iPhone" under "FaceTime" to turn on the phone function.

How to make calls with your iPod Touch

Once you have set up the function to make calls with your iPod Touch, you can choose to select a number for a phone call via the Contacts app, Calendar or Safari. Alternatively, starting a phone call is also possible via the FaceTime app by tapping the "plus icon" in it, entering a number and confirming with the "handset icon".
