Can I use my Amazon Echo as an alarm clock?
In many areas of everyday life, Amazon's Echo device with Alexa is a real relief. Therefore, it is only logical that the device is also able to wake you up. We show you here how easy it is to harness Alexa for the morning wake-up service.
This is how easy it is to turn Alexa into an alarm clock
As usual, you can control Alexa with voice commands and set it up to wake you up on time every morning now.- If you only want to be woken up on a certain day, you need to phrase the voice command accordingly, for example "Alexa, wake me up on Thursday at 7am". However, Alexa will now say that the command is not yet specific enough and ask you whether you want to be woken up in the morning or in the evening.
- If you want to be woken up permanently at this time, add the addition "Repeat the alarm clock" in your voice command.
- You can store multiple alarms with Alexa and thus ensure that you or all members of your household are woken up accordingly.
- To start the day pleasantly, you can wake up with your music. For this, add the song or even simply "Prime Music" in the voice command.
- If you want to use a snooze mode, respond to the wake-up call with "Alexa, snooze", with "Alexa, stop" you turn off the alarm.
