Amazon Prime Day - what is it anyway?

Whether you're already an Amazon Prime member or you've heard the Amazon Prime Day ads on TV, the net or the radio, you may be wondering what it even is. We've summarized the most important facts about Prime Day for you.

What you should know about Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is a worldwide shopping event that Amazon hosts exclusively for its Prime members. This means that only Amazon members have the opportunity to purchase the deals.
  1. The event lasts for two days and offers different types of deals for the members.
  2. A selection of daily deals is submitted by Amazon, which often include electronics items and other popular items.
  3. At the same time, a number of deals from different categories are unlocked every hour.
  4. Prime members have the opportunity to preview and reserve the deals in advance. Once the product has been moved to the shopping cart, you must complete the purchase within 15 minutes to benefit.
  5. The number of available items is limited not only in time, but also in quantity. Thus, the offers should be taken when the opportunity exists.
  6. If you have reserved an item, you will receive a notice via push-up email when the items are on sale.

Are there alternatives to Prime Day?

If you are not interested in a Prime membership, but still want to benefit from the special offers, then you should wait for Black Friday. Amazon makes the offers on November 30 available to all customers. But again, Prime members get exclusive access.
