iPhone X Live Photo: How to capture moving images

A Live Photo is a recording that consists of many individual images. These can be played back so that you see a short video sequence. A Live Photo thus combines photo and video, which can produce great effects. Live Photos can be taken on the iPhone X using the normal camera app.

A Live Photo is a moving photo that you can tap in the gallery. Then a short movie sequence will be played. Live Photos can be taken by enabling the corresponding option in the Camera app. The photos can also still be edited and shared with friends as a video, picture or GIF.

Taking a live photo

1. Open the camera.
2. You will see several icons at the top. The second icon consists of several circles inside each other.
3. Tap it to activate the live mode. When the icon is yellow, you can take live photos.
4. Tap the shutter button.
5. The live photo will now be taken.

Edit live photos

1. Open the gallery.
2. Tap on the photo.
3. Select "Edit".
