Transferring data via Bluetooth - how to do it

Bluetooth allows you to easily transfer data from one device to another without a cable connection. However, for this to work, the devices must not only have a Bluetooth feature, but it must also be enabled. How you then proceed correctly, read here.

Transferring data via Bluetooth: What to consider

Bluetooth is now supported by most computers, smartphones and tablets. If this is also the case with your devices, you can use the technology to transfer data, such as photos or videos, wirelessly between the devices.
  1. For data exchange via Bluetooth to be possible, it is first necessary to activate the Bluetooth function on the devices.
  2. On the mobile device, this can be done either by going to "Settings" > "Wireless and networks" > "Bluetooth" or by tapping on the Bluetooth icon in the status bar.
  3. If you have a PC with Windows 10 as operating system, the fastest way to activate the Bluetooth function is again via the Info Center. To do this, click on the "speech bubble icon" in the taskbar at the bottom right and select Bluetooth.

Bluetooth: How to transfer data between PC and smartphone

Have you activated the Bluetooth function, please search for available devices on the mobile device and tap on the name of your PC. Then confirm the connection on the PC as well before you start the data transfer. In order to receive the file from the PC, right-click on the Bluetooth icon here and select "Receive File". Anschließend können Sie die Datei vom Smartphone auf den Computer übertragen, indem Sie diese auswählen und erst auf „Teilen“ und dann auf „Bluetooth“ tippen.
