Bluetooth speakers: which devices are compatible?

Bluetooth speakers let you listen to music, audiobooks, podcasts or other audio content wirelessly. But which devices are compatible with the speakers at all? Get an overview of the devices you can pair your Bluetooth speakers with.

You can connect these devices to your Bluetooth speakers

Bluetooth speakers can usually be connected to a variety of different devices. However, it should be noted that, with a few exceptions, it is not possible to connect more than one device to the speakers.
  1. Practically every current smartphone and tablet nowadays has Bluetooth and can therefore be easily paired with the Bluetooth speakers.
  2. Like smartphones and tablets, Bluetooth is now also almost standard for laptops to the basic equipment.
  3. If your desktop computer is equipped with a Bluetooth interface, you can also connect it to the Bluetooth boxes.
  4. Current smart TVs also have a Bluetooth function. So you have the opportunity to connect a Bluetooth soundbar conveniently and without much wiring.
Normally, most Bluetooth speakers are compatible with all devices that have a Bluetooth interface.

Bluetooth retrofit

If the Bluetooth function is missing, you can change that with a retrofit kit. For the laptop or computer, for example, there are Bluetooth sticks that are connected via the USB interface. In addition to USB solutions, there are also retrofit variants that you can connect via 3.5 mm stereo jack plug and are suitable for retrofitting with a car radio. Cheap retrofit kits you get in online stores from 10 euros.
