Bluetooth speakers: which devices can be connected?

With Bluetooth speakers you can listen to your favorite music everywhere. This is because the practical boxes can be connected wirelessly to various end devices and are mobile thanks to the integrated battery. Which devices you can connect to the boxes depends mainly on whether the devices also have a Bluetooth interface.

These devices are compatible with Bluetooth speakers

Bluetooth speakers and speakers can be paired with a whole range of different devices.
  • Laptop: Many laptops have a built-in Bluetooth module that allows them to drive Bluetooth speakers and speakers.
  • Desktop computers: Desktop computers can also have an integrated Bluetooth module on the mainboard and are thus also able to connect to Bluetooth speakers.
  • Smartphone: Just about every current smartphone nowadays has a Bluetooth connection.
  • Tablets: As with smartphones, Bluetooth is also part of the standard equipment of current tablet models.
  • Some mp3 players such as the Apple iPod Touch also support Bluetooth.
In addition to Bluetooth boxes and speakers, you can of course also connect Bluetooth headphones or hands-free systems to your devices via the wireless interface.

Retrofit Bluetooth interface - is that possible?

Current smartphones and tablets usually have a Bluetooth connection as standard. In the case of laptops or desktop computers, however, it can happen that such an interface is not available and must be retrofitted. This can be done with the help of special Bluetooth sticks, for example. You connect the stick to your computer via a free USB port and can then set and manage it via the control panel.
