- Look on the Internet to see how the logo of the desired app is designed. If there are any discrepancies, you must assume that there is a fake. Be particularly careful in this step, because even a wrong color scheme can serve as a clue.
- Analyze the app reviews. Not only bad app reviews are a clue, but also strikingly many 5-star ratings. Especially if the wording suggests that there is no usage experience.
- If the download numbers are too low, then this is also an indication that it is a fake app.
