CoD Black Ops Cold War: How to try out the beta

In November 2020, Black Ops Cold War, the latest Call of Duty spin-off, will be released. Shooter fans will have a chance to beta test the game before then. We explain what the schedule for this looks like.

Test for free: the new Call of Duty offers two beta weekends before the release.

Pre-orderers are rewarded - this is also evident in the beta for CoD Black Ops Cold War.

CoD Black Ops Cold War: Beta takes place in different phases

The beta periods are divided into several phases. These depend partly on the platform, but not exclusively. Namely, it is important whether you have pre-ordered the game or not:

• Those who have pre-ordered CoD Black Ops Cold War for the PlayStation 4 can participate in the beta from October 8 to 9, 2020.
• All other PS4 players may participate from October 10 to 12.

Players of all other platforms must wait exactly one week longer. However, the system is then the same:

• Pre-orderers on PC and Xbox One are on October 15 and 16.
• Without pre-ordering, you can participate from October 17 to 19.

PS4 players, by the way, are also eligible to participate in the second weekend. The first weekend is thus an event exclusively for owners of the Sony console, while the following weekend is free to all players.
