Free video editing - these programs are available

Today, anyone with a little money can buy a good HD camera and shoot stunning videos. Even most cell phones have this feature. But what good is the best video if you can't edit it on your PC? That's why some free video editing programs exist.

What free video editing programs are there?

There are a number of programs on the market that are free of charge and with which you can easily edit your videos.

1. An all-rounder that is especially suitable for beginners is VideoPad Video Editor. The program is very popular due to its ease of use, despite its wide range of functions. You can drag & drop all video and audio files into the editor after clicking on "New Project" and edit them.
2. With the VSDC Free Video Editor, you can record via webcam and record your screen. You can easily access these functions via Capture Video or Capture Stream. Of course, you can also include already existing videos by drag & drop. Under "Effects" you add the desired effects.
3. Lightworks is rather something for advanced users, however, even beginners get along well with the tool after a short training period. Soon you will be able to conjure up wonderful videos. With a click on "Create new Project" you create a new project. Then add videos or audio files by drag & Drop.
4. If you prefer to edit image and sound separately, this is best done with Avidemux. However, the program has a small disadvantage: If you want to cut several tracks together, they must be in the same format.
