Virtual reality is getting closer and closer. Even PlayStation owners can now enjoy the intense visual experience - provided they have the right equipment. We give you all the important info on PlayStation VR.

The PlayStation VR brings virtual reality to gamers' living rooms.

During development, Sony's VR goggles were known as "Project Morpheus." The much plainer name of the finished product should make it clear what function it fulfills.

PlayStation VR: Price for the glasses and other hardware

The PlayStation VR is a pair of VR glasses with an OLED display. The price is about 300 euros. Included in the starter package are the headset, camera, headphones and required cables. In many starter packages, an adapter for the PlayStation 5 is also already included.For the optimal VR experience, however, there is more equipment you need:

• You need a controller. Sony recommends a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller.
• The PlayStation Move controller is compatible with some VR games, but it's not mandatory.
• For shooters, there's also the Aim Controller.
• Also, check out the games available. Not all titles are programmed as VR versions.
• In addition to gaming, you can also watch movies with PS4 VR.

The PlayStation 4 itself is of course the basis for VR enjoyment. If you are not sure whether the investment is currently already worth it, we recommend simply trying out the VR glasses in one of the many specialty stores. There are namely special stands set up to bring the technology closer.
