iPhone 12: Change wallpaper - how to do it

The iPhone 12 comes with a neutral, preset wallpaper. If you don't like the preset wallpaper, you can also change it. In our article, we explain how to change the background image for the home screen and lock screen on your iPhone 12.

iPhone 12: Change background image for homescreen

If you've had enough of the background image supplied by default, you can also change the image on your iPhone 12. To set a new wallpaper:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap on the "Wallpaper" item and then on "Select new background".
3. Now select an image from one of the three background categories. Alternatively, you can also set a photo from your photo library as the background image.
4. You now have the option to move or scale the image to adjust it to your liking. If you like your selection, then tap "Save".
5. In the last step, click "Home Screen" to set your image selection to be displayed as the home screen wallpaper.

iPhone 12: Change lock screen wallpaper
