Samsung Galaxy A70: change wallpaper

You can personalize the look of the home and lock screen on your Samsung Galaxy A70 thanks to wallpapers or themes. Besides the predefined images, you can also use photos from your image gallery or images downloaded via Samsung Themes. You also have the option to set images separately for the home and lock screen.

Customize wallpaper on Samsung Galaxy A70

Depending on what Android version you have installed on your smartphone, the procedure on how to set a new wallpaper differs in certain steps. The Samsung Galaxy A70 has the latest version of the Android 9.0 Pie operating system installed.Follow these steps to change your wallpaper:

1. Go to the settings of your Galaxy A70.
2. Navigate to the "Backgrounds and Themes" category in the overview.
3. Tap "My Wallpapers" > "Show All".
4. Now select an image from your photo gallery, the predefined backgrounds or a wallpaper loaded via Samsung Themes.
5. Select whether the image should be set as the background on the home screen, lock screen or both.
6. If it is not a moving endless background, you can also enable or disable a motion effect.
7. Tap finally on "Set as wallpaper".

Change background on older Android versions

If you have an older Android version, you can also adjust the wallpaper via the settings of the smartphone. To do this, navigate to the "Wallpaper" category. There you have the option to select an image and specify whether it should be visible only on the home screen, lock screen or both.
