Star Citizen: Aegis Avenger Titan - the best beginner ship?

Whoever gets into Star Citizen usually first deals with the ship selection for beginners. There's no way around the Aegis Avenger Titan, and we show why.

All the options: Beginners can't go wrong with the Aegis Avenger Titan.

There are now nearly 100 ships in Star Citizen, but some stand out in particular. This also applies to the Aegis Avenger Titan.

Star Citizen: What makes the Aegis Avenger Titan special

Whenever entry-level ships are discussed in Star Citizen, the name Avenger comes up quite early. Especially the Titan variant is ideal for the beginning:
  • It belongs to the class of small ships for one person and is correspondingly agile and fast.
  • Also the armament is adequate for a ship of this price range.
  • In addition, the Avenger Titan has a cargo volume of 8 SCU. It is thus suitable for transport and trade missions. The easily accessible cargo area and the large tailgate are practical in everyday life.
  • In design, the Avenger holds back: its cockpit is reminiscent of modern-day fighter jets, just like the basic layout. You basically won't find the elegance of an Origin ship on Aegis, because the focus is on the essentials - and this is where the Avenger Titan shows all its strengths.
  • Because of the shape and the black and white paint job, the Avenger Titan is often referred to as the "Space Penguin".
Measured against its capabilities and cult status, the price of 54 euros is pleasantly low. For owners of a starter package, the upgrade to the Titan costs only a few euros. There are also two sister variants of the Titan, namely the Renegade and the Warlock, but they are considered more specialists and less all-rounders. For the first steps (and beyond), the Titan is thus much better suited.
