Canceling a PayPal payment made easy

If you have accidentally made a payment via the online payment service PayPal or want to withdraw a payment for other reasons, you can cancel the payment order. To do this, you only need your PayPal access data and a valid reason.

If you make a transfer via PayPal, you can cancel the payment in certain cases and for a certain period of time. First, however, be sure to contact the seller. Contact them, for example, if you want to exchange something, an item has not arrived at all or arrived damaged. Often the fastest and easiest way to solve the problem is to contact the seller directly.However, if you want to report fraud because someone has gained unauthorized access to your PayPal account, you can initiate the cancellation immediately via the conflict resolution. Even if a seller does not get back to you, you can cancel the payment.

Cancellation of your PayPal payment

If fraudsters have gained access to your PayPal account or you have been defrauded by a merchant, you can get your money back via conflict resolution. Possibly the buyer protection applies to you, so that the cancellation does not cause any problems.

1. Open the official website of PayPal in your browser and log in with your mail address and password.
2. Select "Activities" in the menu and click on the corresponding payment.
