How to get to Google.com? Use the US version

Most sites have a different website depending on the country. Even with Google, if you type something into the search engine using the German site Google.de, you will get different results than if you use Google.com. Since you are automatically redirected, you have to bypass this country code first.

How to get to the US version of the Google.com search engine

With the US version of the Google search engine, you will usually get different results for your search queries than is the case with the German version. This is due to the so-called country code, with which you are automatically redirected to the respective website and thus websites from your country are displayed to you.
  1. In the past, it was possible to bypass the redirection of countries via "/ncr" (no country redirection). So you could get through this addition directly to the US side of Google.
  2. However, this possibility has been abolished for some time.
  3. Alternatively, there is a new addition with which you can get to the US version of Google.
  4. Input into your browser "https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en" instead of "www.google.com". So you bypass the country redirection and are no longer automatically redirected to the German version.
  5. When you now enter a search query in the search engine, you will receive as a result mainly American websites. The search queries you should preferably also put in English, because you can expect better results.
