Huawei P30 wireless charging - possible or not?
Wireless charging has been almost standard for several smartphone generations. But is this also the case with the Huawei P30 and the P30 Pro? Many prospective buyers ask themselves in advance whether it works and with which accessories.
Can I charge the Huawei P30 wirelessly?
The Chinese manufacturer Huawei has dispensed with the Qi standard for the P30. This means that you cannot charge the Huawei P30 wirelessly - at least not via inductive charging stations. The only option is a charging case. It is attached and connected to the device's micro-USB port so that the battery can be charged. The P30 also features the Super Charging function and is therefore charged very quickly. A full charging cycle only takes about 30 minutes.
Difference to the P30 Pro
The Huawei P30 Pro offers the wireless charging feature. All charging stations and charging pads that work with the Qi standard are suitable for this. Thanks to inductive charging, it is only necessary to connect the station to a power supply. You then simply place your Huawei P30 Pro on the station and the battery fills up. Furthermore, the P30 Pro also features the Super Charging function. In addition, the P30 Pro with a large battery capacity offers the option to charge other devices wirelessly. If you have a second phone or several smartphones in your household that support the Qi standard, you can place them on the back of the Huawei P30 Pro. This fills up the battery of the other device, while the P30 Pro gives up some of its battery.
