The Canadian company returns to the world of telephony with the Blackberry KEYone, a smartphone with a physical keyboard and security apps. Unveiled at MWC 2017
And the premiere has gone. With the official presentation of the Blackberry KEYone unofficially opened the Mobile World Congress 2017, the international trade fair dedicated to smartphones, virtual reality viewers and wearables that takes place every year in Barcelona.
And the first company to organize a panel was Blackberry: the Canadian company after a complicated period that saw it practically disappear from the smartphone market, decided to enter into a partnership with Chinese manufacturer TCL and launch a new device. After a fleeting appearance at CES 2017, the trade show dedicated to consumer electronics in Las Vegas, the Blackberry KEYone was officially presented: in addition to the classic physical keyboard that accompanies all devices of the Canadian company, the smartphone also has software dedicated to the security of the user's personal data.
Specifications Blackberry KEYone
For the return to the world of telephony, Blackberry has decided to abandon its own operating system to embrace the Android world. As for the hardware compartment, the Blackberry KEYnote mounts the Snapdragon 625 chipset, supported by the Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of RAM, with support for MicroSD card up to 2TB. The screen will be 4.5 inches with a 1620 x 1080 resolution: the size is slightly smaller than normal since there is a physical keyboard at the bottom.
