The Chinese company has unveiled the new Nova 2i: 18:9 display with Full HD resolution, Kirin 659 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage
Huawei has unveiled the Nova 2i, the first smartphones from the Chinese company with a FullView screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is a particular phone with four cameras. Two in the back and two in the front (one 13-megapixel and the other 2 megapixels). A solution designed for selfie lovers.
The release of the Nova 2i anticipates that of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, which will be presented by the Chinese company on October 16 in Monaco. And from which it takes some features, such as the 18:9 aspect ratio screen and bezel-less design. The technical characteristics of the Nova 2i are those typical of a mid-range, although for the moment Huawei has not yet revealed the price of the smartphone. The only news concerns the release date: the Nova 2i is expected to make its debut on the market within a couple of weeks.
Photography compartment Huawei Nova 2i
As far as the rear camera is concerned, we have two sensors: one 16-megapixel and the other two-megapixel. The information gathered by the two 2-megapixel sensors on both the front and rear cameras is used to add depth of field and bokeh effect to the captured images. Bokeh is a photographic term and involves photographing a foreground object with a blurred background using a very short depth of field.
Huawei's work on the front camera flash is also excellent. It uses a 120-degree lighting angle and two brightness levels that are automatically adjusted according to environmental conditions. According to Huawei with this solution, the light emitted by the front flash is similar to sunlight. Obviously to support the four cameras, the Chinese manufacturer has also worked on the software part. There are a lot of effects, filters and editing work that we can do in post-production.
