WeShare: In which cities is the car sharing available?

WeShare stands for purely electric car sharing. The service made its start in the capital, but other cities are also to enjoy the Golf fleet. We provide an overview.

Expansion planned: Currently, WeShare is only available in Berlin, but that is set to change soon.

WeShare is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen. With about 1,500 e-Golfs in Berlin, WeShare has a relative presence, but with additional cities, it plans to grow its profile even further.

WeShare: Which cities are in so far?

The situation is as follows:

• As of September 2020, WeShare only exists in Berlin.
• The reason for this is Corona: originally, expansion into many more cities was planned for 2020, with Hamburg and Munich in Germany, and Prague, Paris, Budapest, Milan and Madrid abroad.
• Because of the exceptional situation and the associated problems, this will now take place only in 2021.

Currently, therefore, only the residents of Berlin can look forward to the Golf Stromer. But as is well known, postponed is not canceled; if everything goes its usual course, the service should next year also in the cities mentioned
