If you want to offer payment with an EC card in your restaurant, the only way to do so is by using a mobile card reader. There are several companies that manufacture and offer these. However, depending on the chosen provider, the functions and the cost of the process are different.

1. A well-known company is Concardis. Here you pay around 99 euros for the card reader. In addition, there are fees of 0.95 percent when paying with a debit card and 2.6 percent when paying with a credit card. The management app is available for iOS and Android. In addition, there is no transaction limit and all major cards, including NFC cards, and phones are accepted.
2. Alternatively, it is possible to use iZettle. This manufacturer offers you a card reader for 29 euros. However, similar fees are also incurred here for payment with corresponding cards. The biggest difference to the competitor Concardis is that the reader accepts far more cards and that there is a transaction limit for business accounts.
3. With the provider CCV, you also have the option to customize your POS system according to your wishes. So you can set an individual transaction limit. Also, the cost of the device and the transactions are agreed individually with the customer.
