PS3: These ports have the game console

The Playstation 3 has a total of eight different ports. Of these, three are on the front of the Playstation 3 and five are on the back. On the front, you'll find the CD and DVD drives and an SD card reader, among other things.

For a perfect gaming experience, the Playstation 3 needs some ports. These can be found on the front and back of the Playstation. Ports that you use frequently, such as CD/DVD or USB, are located on the front. The ports that you only need when setting up the Playstation 3 are located on the back. These include the power connector and AV multi-output.

1. USB: You can use the Playstation 3's four USB ports to connect controllers or connect your mouse and keyboard. You can also connect hard drives and USB sticks.
2. SD card reader: You can insert SD and Compact Flash cards here.
3. CD and DVD: Here you can play games and movies.
4. LAN: With a LAN cable you achieve a much faster connection when playing than via WLAN. You can connect the Playstation to the router via the LAN output.
5. Audio output: You can connect the Playstation 3 to a sound system via this optical digital output.
