With the IMEI you can verify that a smartphone belongs to you. The number is device unique and can be found on the device as well as on the packaging and within the software. If your phone has been stolen or lost, you can use this number to prove ownership.

How is the IMEI checked on the Huawei Mate X?

The IMEI number usually allows a device to be clearly identified. The number consists of 15 digits and can be used to lock the phone if necessary. A sticker with the IMEI can be found under the battery or on the packaging of the smartphone. However, the IMEI can also be viewed directly via the interface.

1. Open the settings on your Huawei Mate X by tapping the settings icon. This is usually indicated by a small gear.
2. Now continue to the entry "About my phone" and then "Status".
3. Here you can view your IMEI next to the entry "IMEI number".
4. If you now want to check the number online, you can easily do so on the website imei.info.
5. To do this, write the IMEI of your device in the appropriate field on the website and confirm the entry with "Check".
6. Once the smartphone is found, all known information about it will be displayed.
