Setting up Thunderbird on Mac - here's how to go about it

If you've been using Thunderbird until now and are now switching to a MacBook, it doesn't mean you have to choose another program. Because in the meantime, you can also use the popular email program on your MacBook.

This is how to install Thunderbird on your Mac

Installing Thunderbird is done quickly, and you will also need little time to set up the email program:

1. Download Thunderbird for Mac OS and open the file to run.
2. Close the program in the app folders and click on the program icon to launch Thunderbird.
3. You will now be asked if you want to import your contacts into Thunderbird and set Thunderbird as your default application.
4. Now you need to decide if you want to set up a new email address from gandi.net. Wenn nicht, klicken Sie auf „Überspringen“ und geben anschließend Ihre E-Mail-Adresse und das zugehörige Passwort ein.
5. Wählen Sie nun aus, ob Sie die Nachrichten auf dem Server speichern oder direkt auf Ihrem Mac hinterlegen wollen.
6. Sobald Sie diese Entscheidung getroffen haben, müssen Sie auf „Fertig“ klicken und die Einrichtung von Thunderbird ist somit abgeschlossen.
