Cancel your Twitch subscription: Here's how

If you would like to cancel your subscription to the live streaming video portal Twitch, you can easily do so online. You also only have to observe a relatively short notice period. If you are considering a downgrade, this is also possible via the platform.

Twitch: Cancel subscription in a few steps

You can easily cancel your Twitch monthly subscription in your personal area on the streaming service's page.

1. Go to the Twitch website and log in with your login details.
2. Then click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
3. Select "Subscriptions" in the dropdown menu to get an overview of your subscriptions.
4. Click in the tabs, the area to which the subscription you want to cancel belongs. Under "Your subscriptions" all active subscriptions are displayed.
5. Select the subscription to be canceled.
6. Then click on the gear icon to get more options displayed.
7. Select the entry "Cancel subscription".
8. You can cancel the subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect after the current payment period expires.

Twitch: Downgrade and more tips

If you don't necessarily want to cancel but want to purchase a cheaper subscription from Twitch, you can downgrade your Twitch account. On the "Subscribe" button, you will be shown other price plans from which you can choose a cheaper plan. However, if you do not renew your original subscription within 32 days, you will lose your loyalty badges.
