YouTube: Apps of the video portal in the overview

YouTube has grown and consists of different areas. In order not to lose the overview, these areas are now designated and subdivided as apps. Via the YouTube website, you have the option of accessing the respective areas directly. A button is available for this purpose.

YouTube apps include everything from music and gaming streams to content for children.

YouTube: Apps at a glanceSince its founding in 2005, YouTube has become the world's leading video platform. Today, the Google service presents itself broadly and individual apps are the mainstays. When you open YouTube in the browser, you will see a grid button with 3x3 dots at the top right of the search box. Click this to see the YouTube apps.

• YouTube TV: This online service is a paid video-on-demand and streaming service. It mainly supports US channels.
• YouTube Music: This is a music streaming service that you can access via the app.
• YouTube Kids: Here you will find special content just for kids. This application must first be set up by parents.
• Creator Academy: In this app you will find various courses that help you, for example, to develop your content.
• YouTube for Artists: This application is primarily aimed at artists.

It is possible that this division will soon be expanded or fundamentally changed, as YouTube is currently growing in many directions. However, this should not change much in the existing services, as they are established categories with many millions of users.
