Delete YouTube video - remove content from channel

Any video you upload to your YouTube channel can be deleted again. It is also possible to remove videos from the listing. This way they will no longer be displayed, but will only be viewable via a direct video link.

Deleting your own videos on YouTube

Once you delete a video from your channel, it is unrecoverable. Unless you have created a copy, all content will be lost forever.

1. Log in to YouTube with your account.
2. Now call up the Studio. To do this, click on the icon at the top right and navigate further to "YouTube Studio".
3. Now select "Videos" from the menu on the left.
4. You can click on the box next to the videos to select which videos should be deleted. Use the filter above the list to search and sort by release date, views, title and more.
5. Once you are satisfied with your selection, use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to select "Actions" and then "Delete."

Replace Videos on YouTube

Replacing a video on YouTube is unfortunately not possible. As soon as you upload a new video, a new URL is generated. However, you can make changes to existing videos.
