Can I use Audible on multiple devices?

On Audible you can get numerous audiobooks and podcasts that you can listen to from your smartphone, tablet or computer. Learn how you can use the service on multiple devices at once, what you need to keep in mind, and how you can even give away individual titles.

Sharing your Audible library: What you need to keep in mind

As with Netflix, you can log in to your Audible account with multiple devices at the same time.
  • You can activate up to ten devices on Audible that you can use at the same time.
  • Once you have reached the maximum number of activations, no more devices can be logged in through the account. However, you have the option to deactivate devices via the account settings to make room for new devices.

How to share audiobooks on Audible

In addition to family sharing, you can also share individual audiobooks from your library with friends.
  1. Go to the Audible app on your smartphone and open your library.
  2. Select the title you want to share and click on the three-dot icon next to the name.
  3. Select "Share" from the menu and then decide how you want to send the audiobook.
The recipient then only has to click on the link you sent to add the audiobook to their own Audible library. The first audiobook you share with a person is free. If you send another one to the same person, they will only receive a recommendation for the book and will have to buy it from the online store themselves.
