For this, only both devices must support Bluetooth. However, multiple devices cannot always be connected to another device at the same time.

Bluetooth gives you the option of connecting two devices that support the standard. Then, data can be transferred wirelessly over a short distance. This is useful, for example, when outputting music via an external speaker. If you want to connect several speakers with your smartphone, for example, there are some points to consider.

1. In principle, several Bluetooth connections with a device are possible. However, usually only one connection is active.
2. If you have several speakers paired with your smartphone, the music is also only played from one.
3. With special apps and several smartphones, it is also possible to operate several Bluetooth speakers synchronously.
4. Bluetooth connections are point-to-point connections, but ad-hoc connections are also possible. In principle, however, the standard is usually used for only a direct connection between two devices.
5. If you use several Bluetooth devices on your computer, this is usually possible without any problems with a corresponding adapter. But even these are rarely used exactly at the same time.
