Battle.net: How lounges work - all info

Blizzard's Battle.net client has been given more and more features over the years. Especially for the social aspect, there are now lounges and our guide explains what they are.

Not just for gaming themes: Bnet lounges are a virtual place to linger.

The lounge feature in the Bnet client is basically the same as a lounge that exists in the real world.

Battle.net: These are the new lounges

In plain language, this means:
  • In a lounge, you can get together with other people from their friends list and talk.
  • This can serve game planning or completely different topics that have nothing to do with World of Warcraft and Co.
  • Every user can create a lounge. To do this, click on "Chats and Lounges" in the bottom right of the main menu of the client and then select "Create Lounge" in the new window.
  • In the course of the creation, you must give the lounge a name and can optionally specify an avatar and a description.
Through the lounges players should be even less dependent on external communication solutions. The Battle.net thus gets a central character, which also invites outside the gaming sessions to linger.By the way, since 2020, the lounges are also accessible in the Battle.net mobile app.
