winSIM number portability - how it works

With the mobile provider winSIM, you have the choice between different cell phone tariffs with and without a fixed contract. So that you can continue to use your old phone number with winSIM, the application of a number transfer is necessary.

How to apply for a number transfer with winSIM

If you plan to switch to winSIM, you can simply take your old phone number with you. This is possible with a prepaid tariff as well as with a contract. To take your phone number with you, it is advisable to apply for this when ordering your winSIM tariff. You can choose between two procedures.
  1. If you want to take your phone number with you at the end of your contract, you can apply for the number portability at the earliest 120 days before the end of the old contract. If you have already terminated your contract, the number portability is subsequently only possible if the end of the contract is not more than 85 days ago.
  2. If you have received an early release for your phone number from your old mobile provider, an immediate portability to winSIM can also be ordered. Please note that the number portability does not change the term of your old contract and this will be continued with a different number.

Rufnummermitnahme zu winSIM: Das ist zu beachten

Haben Sie die Rufnummernmitnahme bei winSIM beantragt, winSIM contacts your old mobile operator to confirm the transfer of the number to the new SIM card. About the exact date on which the number transfer takes place, you will be informed by winSIM in an E-Mai. While winSIM itself does not charge for the transfer of the number, your old mobile operator may charge a fee of maximum 6.82 euros, which is paid by invoice or through your prepaid balance.
