Samsung Galaxy A90: Memory full despite memory card

The Samsung Galaxy A90 has an internal memory with a capacity of 128 GB, which can be expanded by using a memory card. If the memory is full despite the memory card, this may be due to a faulty SD card setup.

Memory full: How to set up a memory card on the Samsung Galaxy A90

If the existing memory of the Samsung Galaxy A90 is not enough, you can insert an SD memory card into the device to expand the storage capacity. If you get the message that the internal memory is full despite using an additional memory card, please check whether you have set up the card correctly.
  1. Once you have inserted the SD card into the Samsung Galaxy A90 and switched the device on again, a message for installing the card will appear.
  2. You need to tap this and then select whether the SD card should be used as "Internal Memory" or "Mobile Memory".
  3. If there is still free space on the SD card, please navigate to "Storage & USB" > "Internal Storage" in the settings and move some files to the card.
  4. If you have set up the card as internal storage, you can also move apps to it.
