Samsung Note 10: Memory full despite memory card

If you are using the Plus model of the Samsung Note 10, using a memory card will help you free up space on the device's internal memory. If your device memory is full despite a memory card being inserted, we show you how to fix the problem here.

Memory full: Does the Samsung Note 10 have a slot for a memory card?

If you have a Samsung Note 10, the use of a memory card is not possible because the device does not have a corresponding SD card slot. If the use of an additional memory card is important to you, you can buy the Samsung Note 10+ instead. This has a microSD slot that allows you to increase the storage space by up to 1 TB.

Samsung Note 10+: This is the reason why the storage is full despite a memory card

Despite using a memory card, you might get a message that the storage is full on the Plus model of the Samsung Note 10. This is usually because you have inserted an SD card, but have not moved your files and apps to it.
  1. To move apps to a memory card, it is necessary to set it up as internal storage during activation.
  2. Then navigate to "Settings" > "Apps", select the app you want to move and tap "Change" under "Storage" > "Used storage" to set the SD card as the new storage location.
  3. To move files such as photos or videos to the memory card, you must first set it up as mobile storage before moving the files to the SD card under "Settings" > "Storage and USB" > "Internal Storage > "More" > "Copy to..." and then deleting them from the internal storage.
