PowerPoint: Change language - this option is available

Normally, you can already select a desired language when installing PowerPoint. A distinction is made between the display language, auxiliary language and editing language. If you want to change the language of the individual areas afterwards, this is possible in a few steps via the program interface.

How to change the language in PowerPoint

If you selected the wrong language when installing the software or if you want to change it later for another reason, this is possible directly via the user interface of the software. Here, however, a distinction is made between the display, the auxiliary as well as the editing language.

1. Start PowerPoint on your computer.
2. Click on the tab "File" at the top of the program.
3. In the menu that has now opened, select the item "Options" at the very bottom.
4. Now a new window opens in which you can make various settings. On the left side click on "Language".
5. At the very top you will find the option to change the editing language. This will also change the language for the spell checker.
6. In addition, further down you can change the display language. Sobald Sie eine Sprache ausgewählt haben, klicken Sie auf „Als Standard festlegen“. Die Oberfläche von PowerPoint wird dann immer in dieser Sprache gestartet.
7. Wenn Sie die Hilfesprache ändern, werden alle Hinweise und Informationen im Hilfemenü in der ausgewählten Sprache angezeigt. Bestätigen Sie Ihre Auswahl mit „Ok“.
