MHW Iceborne: Defeat Nargacuga - Tips & Info
Nargacuga was announced early on as one of the new Iceborne monsters. However, the nimble monster can cause big problems for hunters. With our tips, you'll bag the beast sooner or later.
The list of new monsters in Iceborne is long and impressive. Nargacuga isn't the hardest opponent, but it's still a real touchstone at the beginning.Exploit Nargacuga's weaknesses - and be careful
First, the basics:- Nargacuga is particularly weak against thunder. Status weaknesses have two stars all over them. Thus, you have a relatively good selection of valid weapons.
- Weak points are the head and the two areas of the tail (base and tip).
- The tip of the tail is also detachable, which makes further combat easier. However, this is only possible when Nargacuga is angry.
- You can use lightning and screaming capsules to interrupt the jump.
- Nargacuga can cause bleeding. Astera jerky (or sushi fish scales) should be in your pack because of this.
- Because of Nargacuga's speed, the grappling hook is handy. He allows you to get to the monster in the short safe moments.
- In rage mode, Nargacuga is even more dangerous, but can no longer destroy traps for it.
