What is Meshing? All info about the network
Meshing is the name for the use of a mesh network. The English term mesh network can be translated in German as "vermaschtes Netzwerk". This means that the corresponding network has not only one access point, but several interconnected nodes.
What is meshing? How it works
A mesh network is a network that has multiple connection paths to process a request and send it to the destination node.- Meshing makes it possible to process requests faster and always send them via the fastest path.
- In addition, the susceptibility to failures is significantly lower, since the tight meshing allows multiple paths and therefore some failures can be tolerated.
- A distinction is made in mesh networks the networks that are only partially connected and those that are fully connected.
- Depending on the size of a network, only a split meshing is still possible.
What is meshing? Advantages and disadvantages
- The biggest advantage lies in the good networking, which can minimize errors and problems and connections are secure and less vulnerable.
- A disadvantage, however, is the high cost that can arise from extensive networking.
- In addition, the connection of the network on the basis of the individual nodes becomes increasingly complex and costly as the number of nodes grows.
- But since all nodes can organize themselves, a high meshing usually ensures a faster implementation of requests.
