FIFA 21: Is there crossplay? We have all the info on the subject

FIFA 21 is released just like its predecessors on multiple platforms. The desire for crossplay is therefore all the greater. Our guide explains what the situation is in the new FIFA 21 and what that means.

Everything is the same - unfortunately: crossplay is also not an issue in FIFA 21.

In FIFA 21, soccer fans will find interesting new features. But is crossplay also one of them?

FIFA 21: Crossplay still not available

The short and disappointing answer is: FIFA 21 also does not offer any crossplay.
  • This not only affects the different platforms, but also the generations.
  • So players on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can not play together or against each other. The same applies to Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
  • There is only one small exception: On the PlayStation, owners of both generations share the transfer market. So the card exchange between PS4 and 5 is possible, and in both directions.
  • After all, when upgrading versions from PS 4 to 5 and Xbox One to Series X, you can take your score with you. You can read more about this in the article on Dual Entitlement.
This news should therefore not provide a good mood - this is even more true this year, as the next-gen consoles will be released in the fall. For many players, this means not being able to play with their friends, as not all console owners will buy the upgrade at the same time. Previously three separate systems (PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4) will thus become five and this will ensure a further division of the community.
