Outriders: Is crossplay supported? We have the answer

For loot shooters with a focus on multiplayer sessions, the question of crossplay has long been a central aspect. We explain what cross-platform matches look like in the upcoming RPG shooter Outriders.

In Outriders, teams of up to four players are possible for fast PVE action. That sounds like ideal conditions for crossplay.

Outriders: Crossplay confirmed for all platforms

Long before the release on April 1, 2021 (all info here), Square Enix announced how it will look with crossplay:

• Cross-platform play will be possible without restrictions.
• Because of the numerous platforms (PC, Xbox One & Series X/S, PlayStation 4 & 5), this means all the more opportunities for online matchmaking.
• Interesting for owners of the old consoles: When you buy the game for the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, you get a free upgrade for Outriders, if you later buy one of the new consoles.
