JDownloader: Read passwords - how it works

With JDownloader you can automate downloading from sharehosts. It is also possible to download videos from various video portals. If you have stored various passwords in the software, you can only read them to a limited extent. There are various options available to you.

How to read your passwords at JDownloader

In JDownloader software you can save passwords to facilitate automated download of various media. However, this is only possible to a limited extent.

1. If you own an older version of JDownloader, you can read out all saved passwords.
2. To do this, go to "Settings" and then to "Account Management".
3. Here you can select your account and copy the profile. To do this, press "Ctrl" + "C".
4. Paste with "Ctrl" + "V" the copied part into a Word document.
5. Now you can easily read out your passwords.
6. If you have a newer version of the software, however, this is no longer possible. However, you have the option to transfer the passwords via a backup. Alternativ kopieren Sie den Ordner „cfg“ in das JDownloader-Verzeichnis der neuen Installation, um alle Passwörter zu übernehmen.
7. Das Auslesen Ihrer Passwörter ist aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht mehr möglich. Möchten Sie Ihr Passwort dennoch in Erfahrung bringen, müssen Sie sich direkt an den Hoster wenden. Meist ist dies über die jeweilige Webseite möglich.
