If playing against the AI is not enough for you, human opponents are the best choice. In Football Manager 2020 there are several modes for multiplayer players.

These multiplayer variants are available in FM 2020

In Football Manager 2020 there are two multiplayer modes:

• Career: As in the solo game, participants each take over a club and direct its fortunes. Dismissals and club changes are also possible. Particularly exciting, of course, are the direct duels and transfer negotiations between fellow players. You can alternatively play this mode online with like-minded strangers, as there is a matchmaking system to join.
• Fantasy Draft: A budget is set, with which the participants take turns to sign players for their team. These are based on the normal database, while the teams as well as the subsequent competition (league or tournament) are not based on reality.
• Versus: Here you export an existing team to the online competition and compete against other players in the league or tournament system. Up to 32 players can participate.

Specially thanks to the online search for teammates, the multiplayer function is also accessible for managers without FM players in their own environment.
