ISDN is a standard for telecommunications. Nowadays, many home connections use ISDN connections to regulate telephone and internet. You can also connect an ISDN phone to the FritzBox. It only takes a few steps.
How to connect an ISDN phone to the FritzBox?
The abbreviation "ISDN" stands for "Integrated Service Digital Network". Not every FritzBox can be connected to an ISDN telephone. So find out beforehand whether your device has the appropriate connection.- Take the ISDN plug and connect one end to the telephone. Plug the other end into the FritzBox into the port labeled "FON S0". If you can connect two phones to the FritzBox, there is also a "FON S1".
- Now you can set up the ISDN phone. To do this, open a browser window on a PC that is connected to the FritzBox.
- Enter "fritz.box" in the address bar and confirm access with your password.
- Now click on the left in the menu on the category "Phone" and then further on "Telephony Devices".
