Amazon Dash Button: Now no longer available

Using the Amazon Dash button, it was possible to order a specific product registered to that button within a few seconds. This saved having to reselect it, add it to the cart, and go through the rest of the ordering process. However, the button had to be set up properly beforehand.

How the Amazon Dash button sign-up worked

Even though Dash buttons were popular, Amazon shut them down on August 31, 2019. The reason for this were legal problems and a decision of the Higher Regional Court of Munich. Until then, to use the button, it was necessary to register it beforehand. To do this, you needed a smartphone with a WLAN connection and Bluetooth.
  1. To start, download the latest version of the Amazon shopping app on your smartphone and install it.
  2. After that, turn on both the WLAN connection and Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  3. Now switch to the app, tap the menu icon in the top left corner and navigate through "My Account" to "Dash devices" and "Set up new device".
  4. You will now be prompted to log in with your Amazon account.
  5. After logging in, tap "Agree & Get started".
