If you are starting Football Manager 2020 for the first time, you can activate the 2D view in the next game as follows:

1. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner during a game.
2. Select "2D Classic" under "Camera".
3. Directly below, in the "Live" area, you can set how often game scenes are displayed under "Displays". The ideal choice depends on how much time you want to spend on the individual games.

Although the 2D view is kept extremely simple visually, it brings a great advantage. For it is precisely because of its tidy presentation from above that it gives you the best overview.

• You can ideally observe all aspects of lineup, tactics and player behavior from the 2D perspective.
