Basically, adding RimWorld mods via Steam is quite simple:- Open the RimWorld view in your Steam library.
- Click on "Workshop".
- Subscribe to any mods you want to try.
- Start RimWorld and open "Mods" in the main menu.
- Activate the mods by clicking on the red cross next to it. This will turn it into a green checkmark.
- Some mods require a specific order. Ideally, this is specified in the mod description - be sure to sort the mods in this way.
- Also read the description to see if incompatibilities with other mods are specified.
- It is advisable to install a mod that takes care of mod management, such as "Mod Manager".
- With such a mod, you can namely make a local copy of all your mods. The data is then not constantly loaded from Steam, but directly from the hard drive. This is usually faster, more stable and more trouble-free.
