Sign out from Twitter - how to do it on all devices

You can reach the social network Twitter via the browser or via app on your smartphone or tablet. If you are not logged in through your own device, it is important that you log out. This will ensure that no other people gain unauthorized access to your Twitter account.

Logging out of Twitter

If you access Twitter via the browser, you can log out in just a few clicks. What kind of browser you use does not matter.

1. Call the Twitter website in your browser.
2. Click on your avatar in the upper right corner to open the menu.
3. Select "Logout" in the menu.

If you use Twitter via the app on your smartphone or tablet, logging out works similarly to the browser.

1. Open the Twitter app.
2. Tap on the top left on the three dashes (Android) or on your avatar (iOS) to open the menu.
3. Select the item "Settings and Privacy" there.
4. Tap then on "Account".
5. There you will find the option "Log out".

Delete Twitter account
