Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus: Data backup

It is recommended to back up your smartphone at regular intervals. This has the advantage that not all data is lost, should your phone be damaged. A data backup can also be easily created on the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus using the free Smart Switch.

How to create a backup on the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus?

The easiest way to create a backup is to use Smart Switch.

1. Download the Smart Switch app to your smartphone.
2. Download and install the Smart Switch software on your PC as well.
3. Start Smart Switch and connect your phone to your computer. Tap "Allow" on the phone screen.
4. Now click "Backup" in Smart Switch to start the backup process.
5. Once the backup is created, you will see an overview with the backed up contents.

After backing up, you can restore the data at any time. To do this, simply click "Restore" within Samsung Smart Switch. The import of the data then takes some time. Samsung Switch also allows you to update your Samsung phone to the latest software version. To do this, simply click "Update" when a new software version is available. If you use the Smart Switch app, you also have the option to transfer data directly from one phone to another. To do this, simply go to "Send Data" > "Wireless" in the app.
