Every computer with Windows 10 as operating system, but also other Internet-enabled devices such as tablet or smartphone, has a MAC address. The Media Access Control address is unique for each device and is used to identify the device in the network. If you want to log into a secure network with your Windows 10 computer or configure a new network, you need the MAC address of your computer for this.- To find this on your Windows PC, first press the key combination of "Windows key" + "R" to open the Run dialog.
- Then enter the command "cmd" there and confirm it with the "Enter" key.
- Thereupon the prompt of the computer opens, in which you please enter "ipconfig/all" and press "Enter".
- You will now be shown an overview with important information about your PC, in which you will find your MAC address in the second block next to the entry "Physical or Physical Address".
