How to find out the MAC address on Android
MAC is the abbreviation for Media Access Control and refers to an address that is unique for each device and is used to identify it within a network. Among other things, the MAC address is needed when you configure a network, log in to a protected network or want to determine the manufacturer of your network card. To find out the MAC address of your Android tablet or smartphone, please proceed as follows:- Open the settings of your Android device and navigate in them to the entry "System".
- Tap there on "About the phone" to open an overview with the most important information of your device.
- To read out the twelve-digit MAC address afterwards, please tap on "Status" and look for the item "WLAN MAC address".
