World of Wacraft: How War Mode Works

For years now, there have been no dedicated PVP servers in World of Warcraft. Since PVP is disabled by default in the free-to-play world, fans of direct duels will find an alternative in War Mode.

Always ready: War mode is explicitly aimed at PVP fans.

This continues in Shadowlands. Basically, players of the two factions can not attack each other when they meet.

World of Warcraft: War mode stands for permanent PVP readiness

War mode changes that.
